The logo design process is basically identical whether it is a new logo or a redesign. The only difference in the case of a redesign is that you have a baseline to know what wasn’t working.

It is often difficult to imagine that your current logo could or should be improved. It isn’t until after a redesign that you realize what the original version was lacking. And even then, the details that make it better may not be apparent to the untrained eye.
The following examples show logos that I have redesigned for clients. Some only required minor tweaks to improve the “readability”, while many have received vast improvements in overall aesthetics and professional appearance. Summit Assault was the first running race produced by founders Burke Eberly and Nick Bonner. They were referred to me because they seriously needed professional help with branding to compete with the hundreds of other events that occur each summer in Colorado. Below you can see the logo that they had created (Before) and the updated logo I designed (After). The logo was then applied to the poster and given to them in a variety of formats for use on the website and other marketing materials.
Happily the event was a huge success and they even had other resorts offering to host their events in the future!
