Encore Electric is a company that holds themselves to a high standard, both in their work and in how they support and treat each other within the company.
Challenge
Create an ad campaign focused on attracting and hiring new employees.
Solution
It was apparent that a culture of respect was real when first collaborating with Chief Marketing Officer – Meg Vanderlaan and Digital Marketing Manager – Kevin Villegas. They respected me, each other and had great things to say about the company itself. We all know that word-of-mouth is the most effective form of advertising. So, I figured the next best thing would be to create ads that told word-of-mouth type stories like I had heard from Meg and Kevin.
The first step was to choose portraits of smiling employees.
The second step was to get short quotes from the employees about what they liked about working for Encore Electric. Replies ranged from how they were treated, to opportunities for learning and growth.
Finally, I designed straight-forward ads with their branding and contact information.
