Summit Assault
Background
Summit Assault was the first running race produced by founders Burke Eberly and Nick Bonner. They were referred to me because they seriously needed professional help with branding to compete with the hundreds of other events that occur each summer in Colorado.
Challenge
Below you can see the logo that they had created initially. They readily admitted that they needed help.
Solution
I won’t go into all the dirty details of what was bad about the original logo. But I will mention that the man standing on the peak of the mountain was incredibly tiny in proportion to the rest of the logo. Since that seemed like it should be the focal point, I fixed it in the new logo.
The logo was then applied to the poster and given to them in a variety of formats for use on the website and other marketing materials.
Happily the event was a huge success and they even had other resorts asking them to host their events in the future!
