Background
The Josef Korbel school is one of many different schools under the University of Denver umbrella. It is a highly respected school with amazing work being done around the world by students, teaching staff and alumni. A regular speaker at the school is none other than Madeleine Albright – the daughter of founder Josef Korbel.
Challenge
The school needed help to boost enrollment and encourage additional alumni donations. So the annual report needed to inspire prospective students to enroll while thanking past alumni donors and encouraging new donations.
Solution
This project was a perfect example of good collaboration. Marketing Director, Heidi Resetarits, and her team did a wonderful job of gathering and creating content that was ready to hand off to me so that I could run with it. They had put a lot of thought into the concept for the cover, tagline and overall message. The school had recently gone through a review of their branding guidelines which I was able to follow easily. There were quite a few edits along the way due to spacing, varying opinions of decision makers and other issues that naturally come up on a project of this size and importance. Heidi was efficient at editing the written copy, sending new photo options and was just easy to work with. In the end we were proud of the work we did to help support the school in their efforts to remain a respected and profitable international studies school.
